She was predeceased by: her father David K. "Butch" Wexell; and her sister Cathy VanWassenhove. She is survived by: her mother Victoria Ann "Vicki" Wexell (Mardock) of Galva; her husband James M. "Jim" Cavanagh; her son Mason Cavanagh of Galva; and her brother Chad Wexell of Galva.

Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
