It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Penaflor of Galt, Illinois, born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Abraham and Margaret Dunaven (Thomas); her spouse Roque "Rockie" Penaflor Sr.; and her daughter Serita Neal. She is survived by: her children, Rockie Penaflor Jr. (Kate), Valarie Tanner (Charles), Angela Penaflor, Christine Terrock, Debra Penaflor, Phillip Penaflor (Anna) and Tracy Salas (Oscar); her niece Sue Martinez; and her close friends, Gilbert and Janet Chavez. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren and 23 great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in her memory to St Jude Children Research Hospital.
