He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Verstraete and Helen Verstraete (Haars); his brother Jim Verstraete; his brother-in-law John Armstrong; and his great-niece Emma Verstraete.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barbara Armstrong of Orlando, FL, Kathleen Reed (Ronald) of Cambridge, IL, Ronald Verstraete (Kitty) of Papillion, NE and Marvin Verstraete (Kimberly) of Atkinson, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Stanley J. Verstraete Memorial Fund.
