It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney J. Motz of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Motz and Alvaree Motz (Dutton); his nephew Travis Swanson; and his uncles, Johnny Joe Motz and Charlie Motz.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Fahlund; his daughter Mallory Motz (Robert Pfeffer) of Dahinda; his siblings, Daniel Motz (Lisa) of Knoxville, Linda Sue Swanson (Jack) of Kentucky, Donald "Gus" Motz (Toni) of Wataga and Jason Motz (Jackie) of Wataga; his grandchildren, Weston and Saige; and his close friends, Bill Crawford, Jim Lamb and Tiny. He is also survived by his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the family-to his grandchildren for college funds.
