He was predeceased by: his parents, James Isherwood and Mary Isherwood (Bikowski); his wife Patricia Ann Nelson; his daughter Diana; his siblings, John, George, Franklin and Isabel Westfall; his sons-in-law, Gene Nanninga, Clay Vanskike and Percy Kane; and his stepson John "Artie" Borth.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Nanninga of Kewanee, Donna Vanskike of Monmouth and Kit Isherwood of Wataga, Illinois; and his stepdaughters, Connie Byerly (Wendel) of Gilson and Sherry Nelson (Dave) of Galesburg, Illinois. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.
