It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard N. Hendrickson of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Hendrickson and Gladys Hendrickson (White); his grandmother Grace Hendrickson; his son Shawn; and his siblings-in-law, George and Rose Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Judy K. Nelson; his daughter Kim Bower of Oregon; his grandchildren, Ian Smith (Christina), Matthew Smith (Jessica), Tasha Myers, Brittney Bower, Libby Hendrickson and Nick Hendrickson; and his sisters, Donna Pontillo (Sal) of Naples and Carol LaBates (John) of New Milford, Connecticut.. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
