She was predeceased by: her parents, James Simmons and Norma Jean Simmons (Smith); and her siblings, James Simmons and Rose Cato (Jerry). She is survived by: her children, Alisha George (Jeremy), Casie DeGroot and Samantha DeGroot; and her siblings, Tim Simmons (Carla), Lucynda Rodriguez, Melinda James (David) and Sherrie McGlown (Allen Winkler). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
