He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. "Brownie" Walker and Marjorie E. Walker (Linn); his wife Diane L. Mahnesmith; his brother James "Jim" W. Walker; his brother-in-law Steve Mahnesmith; and his cousin Billy Walker.

He is survived by: his son Steven; his grandson Drake Walker; his significant other Pat Bodenhamer; his siblings-in-law, Tim, Leigh Mahnesmith of Deatsville and Elizabeth "Betty" Walker of Henderson, Illinois; his nephews, Jimmy Walker (Jill) of Oneida and Cody Walker of Oneida; and his niece Michele Malone (Jeff) of East Galesburg.

Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Youth Fishing Derby.
