He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lee and Mildred Vivian Stewart (Robbins); his wife Helen Blanche Halsey; his stepfather Al Richards; and his brothers, Lewis, Leon and Jimmy.
He is survived by: his children, Morris "Bud" Stewart, Jr. of Galesburg, Jeffrey Stewart of East Galesburg, Illinois, Pamela Kelly (Kim) of Oak Run and Annette Taylor (David) of East Galesburg, Illinois; his brothers, Charles "Duane" Stewart of Galesburg and Don Richards (Betty) of Zanesville, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Jeremiah Kelly (Heather), Hilary Peters (Eddie), Kirsten Autery (Josh), Jamie Adolphson (Cory), Josh Taylor (Sara), Elizabeth Farmer and Kayla Morrissey. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
