He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Howard and Beatrice Alexandra Simpson (Benge); and his siblings, Violet Crager, Mabel Hochstetler, Stella Harlow, Elizabeth Moberly, Gene Simpson, Richard Simpson, Jr. and Delbert Simpson.
He is survived by: his former wife Lorene Wetterow; his daughters, Susette Rogers (Joe) of Peoria and Stephanie Simpson of Peoria; his grandchildren, Ashley Doubet (Nick), Ryan Simpson (Ann), Alixandria Benjamin (Nathaniel), Lauren Boynton (Cristafer), Thomas Allen (Mike), Tarynn Lewis (Tanner), Tylynn, Jalen Bell and Wayland Cunningham, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Kolbie, Dominik, Drake, Sophija, Cherish, Kynslee, Ronin, Caylee, Raya and Cristafer, Jr.; his great great grandchild Stella; his siblings, Caroline Weiman of Galesburg, Paul Simpson of Galesburg, Illinois. and David Simpson of Galesburg, Illinois.; and his friend Jo Johnson.
