He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leo and Wanita Ione Meehan (Dolajeck); his former spouse Beverly Ann Briggs; his wife Sheri Elaine Stambaugh; his son-in-law Jeremy Weir; and his siblings, James Meehan and LaRita Miller.
He is survived by: his sons, Tony Meehan (Dawn) of Des Moines, David "Deano" Setla (Angela) of Memphis, LaRue Meehan, Jr. of St. Petersburg and Patrick Meehan of Ft. Worth; his grandchildren, Lori Bowers (Russ) of Cudahy, Wanita Meehan (Marcus Almaguer) of Monmouth, Crystal Meehan of Monmouth and Michelle Meehan of Roseville, Illinois.; his sister Cecelia Murphy of Washington, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Betty Meehan of Peoria, Illinois.. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; one great grandchild.
