She was predeceased by: her father William Earl; her boyfriend Steven Gilson; and her great grandchild Jasper Newland. She is survived by: her mother Ann Norgart of Rock Island, Illinois; her stepmother Karen Dawson of Galesburg; her son Andrew Dawson of Clear Lake, Iowa; her stepdaughters, Cassandra Gilson-Hunt of Galesburg and Christy Gilson of Galesburg; her sisters, Cindy England (Dan) of Coal Valley, Jenny Hinrichs (Rick) of Rock Island and Sherri Dawson (Janice Crysel) of Jacksonville, Florida; her grandchildren, Aidan, Jocelyn, Tristan, Jessica, Hanna and Brandon; and her stepsisters, Julie Bacon (Greg "Chops") of Galesburg, Judy Magee (Tom) of Williamsfield and Jodi Hanen of Galesburg. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Watson-Thomas Funeral Home & Crematory (1849 N Seminary St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A memorial service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of her grandchildren.
