We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2024, at the age of 97, John Stone of Galesburg, Illinois, born in Hannibal, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Oscar Stone and Lillian Anne Tiller Stone; and his siblings, Florence Gordanier (Paul), Martha Schell (Lester), Zelda Smith (Raymond) and Russell Stone (Doris).
He is survived by: his siblings, Norma Rubison (Lilburn), Charles Stone (Wanda), Clara Ruth Daggett (Kenneth) and Robert Stone (Pat); his brothers-in-law, Lilburn and Kenneth; his sons, Dennis (Libby), Jeff (Celeste) and David; his grandchildren, Nathan, Courtney, Tracy, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Justin; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Kayleen, Cody, Kinsey, Alexis, Dillan, Preston and Isabella.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401).
