He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Walter Melton and LaVonne Mae Melton (Robertson); his sisters, Barbara Hoskins and Joan Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Melton and Maynard Adams.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Eileen Stuart; his children, Kim M. Melton, Tami L. Melton of Galesburg, Dr. Anthony Markham of Dubuque and Diane Markham of Moline, Illinois.; his wife Marty (Gutman) of Galesburg; and his brother Dale Melton of Galesburg. He is also survived by nine step grandchildren; and eight step great grandchildren.
