It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet I. Parrish of Galesburg, Illinois, born in Oquawka, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Vincent (Tissy) and Dorothy Marie McOlgan (Simpson); her husband James Lee Parrish; her brother Don McOlgan; and her niece Kim Fish.
She is survived by: her sons, Chad Parrish (Theresa) of Gladstone, IL and Shawn Parrish (Debbie) of Galesburg, IL; and her siblings, Mary Forshe of Arkansas, Jerry McOlgan (Carol) of Mississippi and Jim McOlgan (Latisha) of South Carolina. She is also survived by two granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, and three step-granddaughters.
Memorials are being established for the American Diabetes Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
