He was predeceased by: his parents, R. C. Coleman and Zora L. Coleman (Herbert); his siblings, Wilbur Owen, Henry, Jimmy, Morris, Dorris Coleman, Nora Mae Herbert, Ola Mae Cunningham and Louise Britton; his grandson A. J. Coleman; and his great grandchild John Robert Hendricks.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Meredith (late Bob) of Galesburg, Gary Coleman (Eren) of Weatherford, Bradley Coleman (Diana) of Belmond and Karl Mixon of Galesburg; his grandchildren, Alisha, Summer, Tara, Laci, Tamaria, Shabrell, Bradley Jr., Shaleesha, Maya, Shyla, Kourtney, Tralise, Jasmine and Yvonne; his sister Francis Bailey of Florida; and his sister-in-law Mamie Coleman of Bloomington, Illinois. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to his family to establish a memorial fund at a later date.
