Though Geraldine has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey F. Darrah and Myrtle L. Darrah (Nelson); her husband Daniel Patrick Gallagher; and her brother Phillip "Dewey" Darrah. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Allensworth (Doug) of East Galesburg and Mary Polite of Hilton Head. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (273 S Prairie St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Knox County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
