We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2023, at the age of 86, Gary W. Nichols (Galesburg, Illinois), born in Elmwood, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick W. Nichols and Floy E. Nichols (Breece); his wife Marilynn; his siblings, Robert, James Nichols and Susan; and his close friend Mitzy.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Nichols of Galesburg, Jeffrey Nichols (Jennifer) of Galesburg, Susan Nichols (Donnie Boone) of Alexis, Debbie Canier (Roy) of Knoxville, Jane Hughs (Jeff) of Wataga, Jackie Nichols-Parsons (Ed) of Danville and Julie Day (Jeff) of Heyworth, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Anita Nichols of Gilson and Judy Nichols of Galesburg. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed in Gary's memory to Corpus Christi Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
