He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Kern of Galesburg, Brian Kern (Sara) of Schaumburg and Nathan Kern (Kristi) of Abingdon; his grandchildren, Natalee, Sophia and Camden; his siblings, Jim Kern of Galesburg, Mary Waller of Racine, WI, Cheryl Stegall of Knoxville and Julie Palmgren (John) of Galesburg; and his wife Pam Hutchcroft. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
