He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sampson and Ethel Sampson (Jennings); his son Shawn Sampson; and his brothers, Howard Sampson and Robert "Bobby" Sampson.
He is survived by: his close friend Ellen Heinsen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
