He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor V. Courson and Irene Courson (Dexter); his wife Nancy Lou Peterson; his children, Rory, Todd and Julie; and his siblings, Donald, Danny, Shirley Kautz, Betty Fleisher and Marjorie Howard.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Courson (Phuong) of Waxahachie, Cary Courson (Diana) of Battle Ground and Dustin Courson (Kelly Gomer) of Williamsfield; his grandchildren, Paelynne, Milan, Kyran, Jessica, Tori, Evan, Chelsea, Kimberly, Amber, Whitney, Makayla, Leann, Lacie, Adam, Alex, Miranda and Olivia; and his sister Nancy Fries (Greg) of Mesa, Arizona.. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel (206 N Washington St, Abingdon, IL 61410). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Knoxville Cemetery N. Market.
