We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2024, at the age of 100, Creola Davidson (Galesburg, Illinois), born in Burnt Corn, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Cunningham and Mattie Lee Cunningham; her son Jerry Churchwill; her former husbands, Revered Lewis Churchwill and Albert Davidson of Galesburg; and her siblings, Willie Cuningham of Miami, Ann Smith of Peoria, Kenneth Cunningham of Rockford and Richard Cunningham (June) of Chicago, Illinois..
She is survived by: her husband Reverend Lewis Churchwill; her children, Gloria Jean Stokes (Churchwill) of Calumet, Pamela Davidson of Galesburg, Illinois and Ricki Churchwill (Mercedes) of Rock Island, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Donisha Pierson, Elisha Van, Michele Churchwill, Jackson (Adrian), Shaun Stokes, Brandon Stokes and Justin Davidson (Courtney). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethesda Baptist Church, 210 S. Whitesboro St., Galesburg, IL 61401.
