With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Buddy J. Frakes of Galesburg, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Buddy left this world on February 20, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jefferson Frakes and Mary Frakes (Shinnenberger); and his in-laws, Ray and Joann Gioannini. He is survived by: his wife Anita Gioannini; his children, Amy Frakes of Indianapolis, Indiana and Randy Frakes (Kathryn) of Burlington, Iowa; and his granddaughters, Joanna and Alexandra Frakes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hinchliff - Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel (1070 W Fremont St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Inc., Galesburg (1070 W Fremont St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (2368 W Main St, Galesburg, IL 61401).
In honor of Buddy's memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or the Immaculate Conception School Scholarship Fund.
