He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gehrts and Evelyn Gehrts (Phillips); and his parents-in-law, Elisabeth and Oscar Krug. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Diane Krug; his granddaughters, Harper, Zoey and Diane; his wife Diane; his children, Amy Wiegard (Jason) of Galena, IL, Kari Gehrts of Galena, IL and Justin Gehrts (Tracy) of Grove City, OH.; and his sisters, Tracy Gehrts of Galena, IL, Gretchen Wienen (Tim) of Galena, IL and Anne Huber (John) of Galena, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Face masks are required per State and CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, a Bill Gehrts Memorial Fund has been established to distribute among organizations that were important to Bill.
