Steven Allendorf Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Allendorf of Galena, Illinois, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on February 12, 2021 at the age of 65. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Steven Allendorf to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth "Pete" and Ada Allendorf (Hunzelman); his wife Dianne (Brown); his son Christopher; his stepmother Mildred (Stoewer); his siblings, Kenny (Carol), Tom (Karen) and Margaret Vandermyde (Steve); his aunt Vivian Allendorf; his uncle Gerald Allendorf (Pauline); his parents-in-law, James Brown (Betty) and Patricia Brown; his siblings-in-law, Mark (Becky), Mike (Jane), David (Dena), Kevin Brown (Dana) and Kathy Kreuder (Rex); his grandparents, John, Anna Allendorf, Ivan and Emilie Hunzelman; his uncles, Melvin (Betty Schultz), John "Bud" Allendorf and Charles (Mary Schultz); and his aunt Patricia Bruns. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Prior to Covid, he found his second work passion as a substitute teacher.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to any of several causes that were dear to Steve: Safe Haven Humane Society, the Illinois Sheriff's Association, the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund, and the 100 Club of Jo Daviess County.
