She was predeceased by: her parents, Leticia Flores Tibayan and Manuel Ilagan Tibayan. She is survived by: her husband Don V. Villar; her sisters, Rowin Windle-Couve and Raelynn Remy; her brothers-in-law, Jerome Couve and Mitch Remy; and also, Matthew Windle, Luke Remy, Samuel Remy and Christian Couve.
Rose asked that donations be made to the groups she cared so much about instead of flowers – the Asian American Journalists Association, the Rizal Center of Chicago, or the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago.
