He was predeceased by: his parents, John Horbach and Della Horbach (Morisette); and his siblings, Adrienne and John. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his son Troy Horbach (Kristin) of East Dundee; his stepdaughters, Sue Miller (Ted) of Decatur and Heidi O'Shea (Johnny) of Galena; his grandchildren, Elise, Aubrey Horbach, Natalie, Evan Miller, Dan (Kellie), Tim, James and John O'Shea; and his great grandchild Rose O'Shea. He is also survived by uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Galena Territory Fire or the donor's choice.
