She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, Benton and Bethany; and her grandchildren, Emily, Evan and Nathan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Benjamin Christopher Tvedt Memorial Lectureship Fund, care of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
