He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Scharpf and Viola Scharpf (Hilby); and his brother-in-law Ron Berlage. He is survived by: his siblings, Donna Berlage of Galena, Dan Scharpf of Galena and Deb Manders (Bob) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his nephew Andy Berlage; and his nieces, Katharine, Sarah and Emily Manders (Chris Nordhoff). He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins.
