It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane F. Staver of Galena, Illinois, who passed away on February 25, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred "Pete" Bailey and Marie Bailey (Martin); her husband Richard "Dick" Staver of Mary's Catholic Church; and her brother-in-law Marvin Brotzman. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Staver (Julie) of Galena, Ruth Hector (Brian) of Evergreen Park, IL, Patricia Taken (Joseph) of Springfield, MO and Robert Staver of Dixon, IL.; and her sister Ann Brotzman. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Furlong Funeral Chapel (100 Caroldon Ct, Galena, IL 61036). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (400 Franklin St, Galena, IL 61036).
