It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen M. Werner of Galena, Illinois, born in Cuba City, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 23, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Schmieder and Matred Schmieder (Belken); her husband Gordon Werner; her siblings, Bill Schmieder and Eunice (Smede); her siblings-in-law, Norm Larkin and Joyce; and her parents-in-law, Louis and Bessie Werner.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Hansen (Bruce) of Galena, Terry Werner (Hollie) of Galena and Chuck Werner (Jackie) of Galena; her brothers, Dick Schmieder of East Dubuque, IL and Wayne Schmieder (Marlene) of Cuba City, WI; and her sister-in-law Cathy Schmieder of Huntsville, AL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
