Helen J. Harris Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 28, 2021, Helen J. Harris of Galena, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. Gill and May Gill (Kirchner); her husband William B. Harris; her children, Rhett, Gary and Bertha "Birdie" Straka; her great grandchildren, Jordan Duerr and Lucy Smith; and her sons-in-law, Robert Smith and Frank Straka.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Gill Smith, Charlene Wurster, Ann Podnar (Kevin), William Harris (Jane Ann) and Michael Harris (Janet); and her daughter-in-law Janice Harris. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to Hospice of Dubuque or St. Michael Catholic Church in memory of Helen.
