It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmett J. Runde of Galena, Illinois, born in Cuba City, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Runde and Mary Runde (Cullen); his siblings-in-law, Shirley Runde and Ed Kruser; his granddaughter Hannah Runde; and his siblings, Jim, Rev. Ray, Gene and Del Budden.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Leibfried of Galena; his children, Jack (Carol), Bob (Julie) of Belmont, Ed (Pam), Kevin (Nicki) of Cuba City, Gary (Anne) of Portland, OR, Fred (Kristy), Don (Stephanie) of Mount Horeb, Louis (Heidi) of Janesville, Lynn (John Keating) of Stoughton, Patti O'Hearn (Tim) and Carol Sam (Ron) of McFarland; and his sister Mert Blankenheim. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
