He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Bohnsack and Catherine Bohnsack (Yackey); and his siblings, Darlene, Delbert, Helen, Leroy, Violet, Loretta, Delos and Jane.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Vandermillen of Mary's Catholic Church; and his children, Maria Bohnsack of Moweaqua, IL and Andrew Bohnsack (Molly) of Madison, WI..
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (400 Franklin St, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dubuque or St. Jude's in memory of Don.
