She is survived by: her husband Charles R. "Chuck" Spielman of Galena, IL; her children, Angela Decker (Doug) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Ryan Hillard (Ainsley Hudson) of Golden, CO and Addam Hillard (Jeni Hunnicutt) of Columbus Junction, IA.; her grandchildren, Drew Distler of Chicago, IL, Luke Decker of Iowa City, IA and Katelyn Maldonado of Columbus Junction, IA.; her siblings, Terry Mayo of Monticello, IA, Curt Mayo (Pam) of Monticello, IA, Kelly Mayo (Darolyn) of La Plata, MD, Jim Werner (Kathleen) of Hopkinton, MA, Chris Mayo of Simi Valley, CA and Pam Szponer of St. Charles, IL; her sisters-in-law, Cindy Heacock (Clarence) of Dyersville, IA and Cheryl Huekels (Jim) of Lowell, IN; and her stepmother Barb Mayo of Simi Valley, CA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (227 S Bench St, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque in her memory.
