As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Daryl may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Ira and Grace Caroline Conger (Workman); and his wife Mary Lou. He is survived by: his children, Denise Shiffermiller of Omaha, NE, Randall Conger of Lincoln, NE and Ronald Conger of Kimball, NE; and his stepchildren, Kimberly Howard of Galena, IL, Todd Baliman of Kimball, NE and Kent Baliman of Galena, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren and (13) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel (1140 10th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Methodist Church (2622 11th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Daryl's name to Hospice of Dubuque, IA and Faith Methodist Church in Sidney.
