It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Daniel R. Sertle (Galena, Illinois), born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on February 19, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Sr. Sertle and Corrine Sertle (Knautz); his brothers, Max Jr. and John Sertle; his nephew Nicholas; and his father-in-law John Holman (Margaret).
He is survived by: his wife Ann M. Holman of Galena; his children, Kelli Jackson (Chris) of Galena, IL, Jesse Sertle of Sun Prairie, WI, Dylan and Skylar Jackson; and his siblings, Rick Sertle of East Dubuque, IL, Paula Soppe (Philip) of Galena, Patty Nolan (Bob) of Galena, Jackie Frank (David) of Galena and JoAnn Woodall of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque for their kindness and compassion and to his extended family at Dillon's. The family request memorials be given to Pirate's Closet or to the nearest animal shelter in Dan's memory.
