She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Knautz and Viola Knautz (Morrett); her son Max Sertle Jr.; her grandchildren, Nick Pieper and Jennifer Nolan; her siblings, LaVerne, Mylo, Ronnie Knautz and Phyllis Knautz; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Beyer, Diane, Rita, Margaret and Lila Mae.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Sertle of East Dubuque, IL, Paula Soppe (Philip) of Galena, Patty Nolan (Bob) of Galena, Dan Sertle (Ann) of Galena, Jackie Frank (David) of Galena, John Sertle of Wisconsin and JoAnn Woodall of Clearwater, FL; and her siblings, Madonna Beyer, Shirley Morris (Arlen), Sandy Kracke (Ronald), DuWayne and Julius Knautz. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
