It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bernice Edwards of Galena, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Schmid and Frieda Schmid (Kienzle); her husband Robert "Bud" Edwards; her son-in-law John Piquett; and her siblings, Albert, Carl, Herman, Clarence, Ernie, Ray, Elmer, Frank, Richard, Jr., Clara, Florence, Hattie, Norma and Edna.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Schieltz (Richard) of Luxemburg, IA, Judy Edwards of Galena, IL and Joanne Piquett of Lemont, IL; her grandchildren, Jason Schieltz (Tammy) of Luxemburg, IA, Cory Schieltz (Lesley) of Marion, IA, Kari Nickol (Matt) of Farley, IA, Kelly Burberry (Kevin) of Lemont, IL and Jessica Walker (Carson) of St. Louis Park, MN; her great grandchildren, Claire, Grant Schieltz, Chloe, Ellie Schieltz, Gavin, Marcela Nickol, Will, Ben and Charlotte Burberrry; her sister Elsie McNett of Freeport, IL; and her sister-in-law Julie Schmid of Schapville, IL. She is also survived by sixteen children.
