He was predeceased by: his parents, Miguel Hernandez and Carmen Hernandez (Velez); his wife Linda McConnell; his grandson Ethan Conrad Hernandez; and his siblings, Joseph Hernandez and Carmen Ana Roe.
He is survived by: his children, Jerad Hernandez (Connie) of Harrisburg and Kari Ellet (Cory) of Herrin; his grandchildren, Chloe, Aiden, Briley and Linley; and his siblings, Charles Hernandez of Georgia, Yolanda Hernandez of Missouri, Carmen Reynolds of Texas and Wanda Stevenson of Harrisburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hernandez family to help offset medical expenses.
