Wayne V. Higgins Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne V. Higgins of Fulton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 21, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Higgins and Ellen Higgins (Dolan); his wife Linda Krogman; his parents-in-law, Edmund and Helen Krogman (Nelson); his siblings, Robert [Jon] Higgins and Catherine [Nancy]; and his siblings-in-law, Donald [Tim] Ryder, Ronald Krogman, Mark and Judy Krogman.

He is survived by: his children, Matthew Higgins (Erin) of Lebanon, OH, Richard Higgins of Fulton, IL, Maxine Wayne (Chris) of Fulton, IL, Rita Gruhn (Chris) of Clinton, IA, Ann Barr (Steve) of Clinton, IA, Andrew Higgins of Davenport, IA and Jude Higgins (Melissa Bousman) of Albany, IL; his grandchildren, Brianna, Ryan Higgins, Margaret Higgins, Kyle Wayne (Tabitha), Katherine Wayne (Billy Kampas), Jordan, Audry Gruhn and Lilly Jess; his great grandchildren, Mariah, Mia Bella, Maleigha Kampas and Opal Wayne; his brother Tom Higgins (Sandy) of Thomson, IL; his siblings-in-law, Beth Krogman (Ronald) of Clinton, IA and Richard Krogman (Joyce) of Clinton, IA; and his cousin Jan Higgins Bebee of El Mirage, AZ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pape Funeral Home (2308 Pershing Blvd, Clinton, IA 52732). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (703 12th Ave, Fulton, IL 61252).
