He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Medendorp and Winnie Medendorp (Prins); and his siblings, Leona Kramer, Wilma Johannsen and Harold Medendorp.
He is survived by: his wife Janet R. Bramm; his sons, Gene Medendorp (Sara) of Morrison, Gary Medendorp (Marla) of Bettendorf, IA and Daniel Medendorp (Melissa) of Fulton; his grandchildren, Jacob Medendorp, Jodi Scott (Ryan), Stephanie Sorensen (Erik), Kyle Medendorp and MiKayla Medendorp; and his great grandchildren, Kellan, Harrison, Adallyn Sorensen, Rory, Corinne and Hayden Scott.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given to the Good Samaritan Society and MercyOne Hospice.
