He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Lane and Jessie Lane (Hutchinson); and his brother James R. Lane. He is survived by: his wife Roberta J. Houzenga; and his children, Jolene DeBerg (Michael) of Clinton, IA, Michael Lane of LeClaire, IA and T. Dale Lane (Robin) of Russell, KS. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
