With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rhea Bechtel of Fulton, Illinois, born in Morrison, Illinois, who passed away on November 29, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence L. Green and Dena Green (Bielema); her son Brad Lee Bechtel; her husband Glenn Bechtel; and her siblings, Janet C. Kooi and Dr. Lawrence J. Green.
She is survived by: her children, Glenda Nicke of Rock Island, IL, Ellen Pessman (Gregg) of Fulton, Carol Bechtel (Thomas Mullens) of Holland, MI and Scott Bechtel (Sandi) of Fulton; her grandchildren, Nathan Nicke, Brian Nicke (Shawna), Dan Bechtel (Amy), Steve Bechtel, Jennifer Anton (Shawn), Andrew Reynolds (Melanie) and Ellen Tedeschi (AJ); her stepgrandchildren, Elyssa Chubb (Wes) and Ian Mullens (Dayna); and her sister Connie Wiersema (Burton) of Brandon, WI. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to Spring Valley Reformed Church.
