He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Wilkins and Tina Wilkins (Balk); and his siblings, Vivian Sikkema, Phillip and Gordon "Butch" Wilkins.
He is survived by: his wife Kaye Marie; his children, Audrey Foltz (Irvin) of Erie, IL, Arthur James Wilkins (Wanda) of Morrison, IL, Karl Dale Wilkins (Diane) of Broadhead, WI and Lyle Edward Wilkins (Deb) of Fulton; his sister Carol Zuidema of Argyle, WI; and his sister-in-law Joyce Wilkins (Tichler) of Morrison. He is also survived by thirty-two great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
