We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2023, at the age of 83, Karen Cecelia Abbott of Fulton, Illinois, born in Clinton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Cornelius "Connie" and Elsie Morsing Ketelsen (Gertsen); her husband Dick; her grandson David Shaff; her great grandchild Noah Brewer; and her brother John Ketelsen.
She is survived by: her children, Dixie Shaff (Robert) of Fulton, Connie Hoffman (Scott) of Fulton, Roy Abbott (Kim) of Fulton and Ron Abbott (Claudette) of Thomson, IL.; her grandchildren, Tom Shaff, Mary Brewer (Jared), Jacob Hoffman, Samuel Hoffman, Jesse Abbott (Amanda), Ben Abbott (Katie), Christine Johnson (Nate), Ronda McComb (Trevor), Katy McCray, Crystal Abbott (Stella), Aaron Abbott (Alisha) and Cecelia Dodd (Logan); her great grandchildren, Dessie and Keziah; her grandchildren, Lauren, Harper, Hadley, Sadie, Rebekah, Ellie, Joanna, Kayleigh, Dean, Alex, William and Juliette; her siblings, Diane Reed (Louie) of Clinton and Mike Ketelsen (Janet) of Clinton; and her sister-in-law Emily Ketelsen of Albany, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
