He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Tiesman and Etta Tiesman (Norman); his son Darrell Wayne; his brothers, Loren and Kenneth Tiesman; and his sister-in-law Janice Tiesman.
He is survived by: his wife Genevieve W. Temple; his daughter Darla Birks (Justin) of Clinton, IA; his daughter-in-law Barbara Tiesman of Washington, IL; his sister-in-law Judy Tiesman of Fulton; his grandchildren, Nathan, Adam, Kara Tiesman, Jennifer Smith, Branden Russell and Jessica Birks; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Birks (Ina) and Lexi Vanderbilt (JT); his great grandchildren, Tucker, Sawyer Smith, Ryker Kirk, Stella Hall and Revi Birks; and his caregiver Carrie.
A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.
