She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe J. Shipma and Jane Shipma (Borgman); her husband Harold E. Van Dyke; her son-in-law Rodney Smith; and her siblings, Helen Hine, Shirley Wiersema, Beverly Houzenga, Evelyn Gendvilas, Gertrude Housenga and John Shipma.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda and Deb Van Dyke (Ted). She is also survived by four grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
