With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Garrett J. Dykstra of Fulton, Illinois, born in Fenton, Illinois, who passed away on November 22, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Dykstra and Anna Dykstra (Link); and his siblings, Beatrice Browneye, Sidney Dykstra, John Dykstra and Donald Dykstra.
He is survived by: his wife Donna B. Borgman; his children, Barb Dykstra of Fulton, IL, Connie VenHuizen (Larry) of Fulton, IL, Nancy Malone (David) of Fulton, IL and Dale Dykstra of Maple Park, IL; his grandchildren, Ryan VenHuizen (Heather), Kathy Zehr (Jon) and Laura Medenblik (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Adelyn, Jackson, Sadie and Cooper Zehr; his brother Bob Dykstra (Eleanor) of Bellflower, CA; and his sisters-in-law, Arlene Dykstra of Morrison, IL, Joycelyn Dykstra of Bellflower, CA and Evelyn Damhoff of Fulton, IL.. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to the Fulton Food Pantry.
