She was predeceased by: her parents, Tonnis "Tony" and Catherine Post (Borgman); her husband Robert J. Huizenga; her grandchildren, Tara Suzanne De Waard and Elisha Allen Wiersema; and her great grandchild Isaac Jonathan Dykstra.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Byker (John) of Clinton, IA, Susan De Waard (Al) of Stone Lake, WI, Sally Meinsma (Darrell) of Fulton, IL, Mary Wiersema (Wayne) of Fulton, IL, Steven Huizenga (Terry) of Flossmoor, IL, Doug Huizenga (Linda) of Fulton, IL and Jack Huizenga (Kathy) of Fulton, IL; her grandchildren, Robert Byker, Erik Byker, Lisa De Waard, McDermott, Kristia Hannawalt, Jason Huizenga, Lora Copley, Jonathan De Waard, Tony Huizenga, Nicholas Huizenga, Joseph Huizenga, Michael Huizenga, Jennifer Dykstra, Jeremy Wiersema, Holly Small, Cathy Eversoll, Jacqueline Meinsma, Katie VandenBosch, Angela Tichler, Jessica McCollum, Thomas Byker, Alexandra Chigarova, Amanda Boonstra, Allison Struve, James Huizenga, Brian Meinsma and Kari Huizenga; her sister Jeanette Brondyke of Savanna, IL; and her sister-in-law Eunice Swanson. She is also survived by fifty-two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
A memorial has been established to Unity Christian School.
